Just as the title says, the digital wing of Malaysia’s leading fully-integrated media company, Media Prima Digital, and Huawei Mobile Services have teamed up to grow not just the gaming scene but the app-based industry as well.

The two power houses solidified their stance when they sponsored the recent SEA Game Jam held in conjunction with Level Up KL 2017, hosted by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)’s and Media Prima Labs.

The 36-hour game jam hackathon saw 87 participants from around the world come together to create killer games based on Media Prima Labs current intellectual properties.

The Level Up KL conference also saw a much bigger crowd this year and we’re not surprised as speakers from Marvel Entertainment, ESL Gaming, Amazon, Riot Games, Streamline Studios, Square Enix and more took the stage to share their experiences and what to expect for the future of games.

The collab between Huawei Mobile Services and Media Prima Digital could not come at a better timing as Malaysia is set to be the hub for gaming development for the region.

While presenting an award at Level Up KL, Mr. Lim Chin Han, Senior Business Development Manager of Huawei Consumer Cloud Services, APAC, said that Huawei is excited to jump onboard this partnership and to work with some of the best up and coming developers in the region.

Huawei, no stranger to creating amazing tech, has much to boast about the Huawei Mobile Cloud. It enables users to backup and restore their data and phone settings wirelessly, synchronise and easily transfer data across Huawei mobile devices, as well as store and access files safely using Cloud Drive.

Huawei users also get to enjoy Huawei ID – where you can access all of Huawei services, such as Themes, HiGame, HiCare, Mobile Cloud, Phone Clone, Huawei Wear, Huawei Health and many more.

Expect to see great things from both of these industry giants and stay tuned for more updates!
